Ace Young's American Idol Friends
|
Ace Young first burst into the American consciousness in 2006 as a finalist on the hugely successful television show, American Idol, with a weekly viewership of 25 to 40 million people. Prior to Idol appearances, New Line Cinema had published a song written and produced by Ace at age 17 while still living in Boulder, Colorado. Also before Idol, Ace had opened for such international stars as Brian McKnight, New Edition and had appeared as a guest star on TV sitcoms.
Since Idol, Ace was featured by People Magazine as one of their hottest, most eligible bachelors and was privileged to attend the White House Correspondents' Dinner in Washington. He has appeared on the Today Show, MTV's Total Request Live, The Ellen Show, Live with Regis and Kelly, as a regular on Greta Van Susteran's On the Record, Fox News Morning Show with Mike and Juliet, the Disney Christmas Day Parade. Recently Ace has appeared in one hour segments on Larry King Live. He is also a co-writer on Chris Daughtry's #1 hit, "It's Not Over". Ace released his co-written, co-produced single "Scattered" through I-Tunes. "Scattered" rose to #51 on the most frequently played adult radio charts nationwide. Currently he is writing his new solo album with executive producer, Desmond Child with additional creative input from Diane Warren and Andreas Carlson with an expected release date of May 2007.
