Jason & Nolan Livesay, identical twins raised in Southern California, both began playing the violin at the age of eight and went on to study with Todor Pelev. By the time they graduated from high school, they were performing professionally, winning national violin competitions, and composing for full orchestra. They both attended Azusa Pacific University where they studied violin with Ruth Meints and composition with Phil Shackleton. They later studied film scoring at UCLA, conducting with Jorge Mester, and voice with Calvin Remsberg and Michael Skidgel.

As composers, Jason & Nolan are currently scoring films, composing commissioned works, and musical directing and conducting theatrical productions. They both hold conducting positions with the Golden State Pops Orchestra, and have composed for Disney, Dreamworks, Paramount Pictures, Columbia Pictures, MGM, Warner Brothers, FoxFaith Films, Nickelodeon, CBS, and MTV (Gold Classic Telly Award).

Combining their skills as trained violinists, vocalists, and composers, Jason & Nolan have formed their unique duo sharing their blend of original and popular music all over the world. They have performed with Josh Groban, Bela Fleck, Linda Eder, Jubilant Sykes, Merv Griffin, Sally Struthers, Tony Danza, Chris Botti, Betty Garrett, Lisa Vroman, and John Williams. They have appeared in Las Vegas, on Celebrity and Crystal Cruises, "The American Music Awards," "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno, and "America's Got Talent."
